Andrew Holt

Andrew R. W. Holt, or better known as Drew, a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson and friend, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 39 years old. He is survived by his parents Lynn and Steve Waln; Sisters Crysta Holt and her partner Marc Cordova; Celeste Waln and her partner Adam Perea; Nephew and Niece Micah Holt Cordova and Ayela Holt Cordova. Grandmother Sherry Dodd; and several loving extended family members.

Born on September 13, 1985, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Andrew always considered Denver, Colorado, and its 303 area code, his true home. He cultivated deep roots in the hardcore electronic music community and cherished the connections he made there.

Andrew was a man of exceptional talent and boundless kindness, leaving his impression on you. There was not a single thing Andrew would not do for those he loved.

A self-driven and highly accomplished DevOps Engineer, Andrew had a deep passion and knowledge for technology beyond his years from a very young age.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Andrew also nurtured a vibrant creative spirit. He was deeply passionate about producing hardcore electronic music and was known to many as DJ Drew Derivative and through his own record label Invade Labs, a pursuit that brought him solace and allowed him to connect to others through his music.

Andrew will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will be cherished for his kindness, his talent, and the positive impact he had on the world, both in his professional life and within the hardcore music community he so dearly loved.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Andrew's life at 2 PM January 31st, 2025 at French Funerals - Westside Chapel on 9300 Golf Course Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114. One of Andrew's passions was hoping to see the cure for T1D. One thing that would be meaningful to him are donations be made in Andrew's name to the Breakthrough T1D Foundation (Also known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
