Age 83 was born in Ocate, NM, and later made his home in Albuquerque. He was a lifelong resident of New Mexico. He passed away peacefully on October 2, 2012 with his daughter, Gloria by his side. Andres was a devoted son, father, husband, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his sweetheart, Joann Sandoval; mother, Gregorita Sandoval, and mother-in-law, Olive Miera. He was survived by his two daughters, Gloria Griego and Denise Garcia of Albuquerque. He was also survived by his sister, Frances Gutierrez; niece, Angie Lujan and husband, Leo Lujan as well as his six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Andres had a loveable vivacious personality and he will be greatly missed by all those that knew him. Viewing and visitation will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. at French Lomas Chapel. Services will be celebrated on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at French Lomas Chapel with Fr. Vincent Lipinski as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary cemetery with pallbearers, Christino Griego, Derek Griego, Chris Griego, Anthony Lujan, Edwin Lujan, Larry Lujan, and honorary pallbearer, Leo Lujan.
