Andres Nicasio

Andres Nicasio, 91, beloved husband, father, and grandfather was called to his eternal resting place on Thursday, June 8, 2023. He entered the world on Wednesday, July 1, 1931, in Albuquerque, NM, born to Dolores and Rafaela Nicasio.  He is survived by his wife of 71 years, two sons and a daughter. Andres served our country in the Army for 23 years. A Graveside service and military honors will be held on the East side of Our Lady of Guadalupe mausoleum at Mount Calvary Cemetery on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
Andres was a paratrooper in the 11th, 82nd and 101st Army Airborne Divisions and was part of various foreign conflicts including Vietnam. He was awarded four bronze stars and was awarded a commendation medal from the South Vietnamese military. He was a true patriot until the end. He loved fishing, woodworking, and talking to people. His family was proud that everyone in the neighborhood knew Andres well. He would have been 92 years of age on July 1st.
