Andreas "Red" Laumbach

Andreas "Red" D. Laumbach, age 101, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013. He is survived by his children Andrew Laumbach and Mary Anne Hess and husband, John; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brothers, Casimiro "Ike", Alfred, and Pete Laumbach; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Zulema T. Laumbach. Red was born in the territory of New Mexico in 1911 at La Cinta Canyon. He was an alumni of Menual High School and retired from Rio Grand Steel after many years of service. Red was a loving and special father, grandfather and great grandfather. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment took place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Menaul School.
