Andrea ( Dee Dee) Hérnandez Rector

Andrea (Dee Dee) Hernández Rector (April 15, 1949 – February 8, 2021).
Amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and educator. Full of energy, creativity, always willing to go the extra mile to mentor her colleagues.
Andrea taught for APS for 35 years as a teacher of art, English, elementary, and an instructional coach. She is pre-deceased by her beloved husband and soulmate George Rector and her parents, Evangeline and BC Hernández. She leaves behind her daughter, Stephanie Gutierrez, grandchildren Tyler and Parker Torok; her son, Damien Valdespino and wife Tracy, and grandchildren Aiden and Madison Valdespino; brothers, Dan Hernández, David Hernández; and sister, Crissi Letherer.
