Amy Ferran Naranjo, on March 27, 2017 she unexpectedly passed from this earth. She was born in the Fairview Clinic in Espanola, NM. Amy spent her early years in Santa Cruz, attended Santa Cruz High School then went on to attend nursing school at University of New Mexico, completing that one in the second nursing class of that school, then became an Army nurse, hospital nurse and school nurse at Espanola and Albuquerque Public Schools, from where she retired. Her loving and caring heart went with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto J. Ferran and Elena Valdez Ferran; her first child, Benedicto Robert Naranjo; and a great-granddaughter, Adelaide. Amy is survived by her husband, Benedicto (Benny) Naranjo; daughter, Katherine Rodgers (Aaron), and children, Robert, Ashley Morrell (Nathan) and Monica; son, Greg; three great-grandchildren, Rory, Orion and Everette; sisters, Vangie Tenorio (Manuel), and her children, Ida Patton and her children, Helen Ortega (Tom), and their children, Henrietta, Nadine and God daughter, Nicole; many more family and friends.
She was guided by her eternal faith in God. Amy came to understand that there were many people in need and did whatever she could to reach out to them and be helpful to them and her heart would break when she saw those. She wished her survivors would also see these people in need and care about them. Amy will be remembered always and may she rest in peace and have the comfort of being in Christ.
