Moyer, Benton Ammon
Ammon Benton Moyer, 76, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother was called to his eternal resting place on September 22, 2017. He entered this world on March 13, 1941 in North East, PA, born to Howard and Ann Moyer. He is survived by his wife, Sumlee Moyer; son, Michael Moyer; daughter-in-law, Yolanda Moyer; granddaughter, Zia Moyer; many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Agnes Kimmy (Leo Kimmy). Ben served in the Air Force for 20 years. The Air Force provided him an opportunity to grow and to make new friends. He met his wife Sumlee, while stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He was then stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base where he retired in 1981 as a Chief Master Sergeant and made Albuquerque their home. Ben worked at Honeywell Defense Avionics for 20 years and retired in 2005. From the day he was born, he loved to hunt and fish and never passed up an opportunity to partake or to teach someone how. He loved to play baseball and he even coached an adult woman's team for a few years. As he got older, he became the resident jokester. It didn't matter if he knew you or not, he would tell you a joke. His granddaughter also wanted to say that he was as sweet as a cupcake and loves him very much. Please help us celebrate his life on Wednesday, October 4, 2017, 3:00 pm. at FRENCH – Westside with a reception to follow. Please visit our online guestbook for Ammon at www.FrenchFunerals.com
