Amelia Schutellas

Amelia Schutellas, 82, resident of Albuquerque since 1972, passed away on June 3, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jerry Schutellas; one brother and one sister, both of Texas; and many nieces and nephews. Jerry and Amelia owned and operated Burger Barn East in New York, NY, for ten years before coming to Albuquerque where they served and befriended many famous movie stars of the time including Jack Paar and Dustin Hoffman. She worked at Broadway Southwest for 19 years before becoming a flea market vendor. Amelia was a loving and caring wife who took care of her husband's every need. She will be remembered for her kind spirit.
Funeral Service will be held at FRENCH - University on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. with Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association at www.alz.org/donate.
