Alvesa Alvarez

Alvesa Alvarez, age 85, a caring and strong independent woman, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Alvesa was known for her quiet sense of humor who shared wonderful stories of her many travels around the world. Her job with the government took her to many different countries where she experienced different cultures and people. She worked hard as an executive assistant at the United States embassies around the world. After she retired, she worked with H&R Block preparing taxes and then as a realtor in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She is survived by her five brothers and their wives: Abel and Delia Alvarez, Alvaro and Mary Lou Alvarez, Adolfo and Delia Alvarez, Reyes Alvarez, and Amador (Don) and Arsilia Alvarez. Alvesa also leaves many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Alvesa was preceded in death by her mother, Josefa Baeza Alvarez and her father, Abraham Alvarez.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., followed by a rosary at 6:00 p.m., FRENCH - Westside.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 18th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW.
