Alison C. Jones

Alison C. Jones, 62 of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015. Alison was born on November 26, 1952 to Joseph III and Cora (Hansen) Crompton in Chicago, IL. When she was young, her family came to Albuquerque where she attended school and graduated from Sandia High School. She attended Brigham Young University and later married G. Allen Jones, Jr. in Albuquerque. The marriage was later solemnized in the Bern Switzerland LDS Temple. She was a member of the Albuquerque Cherry Hills LDS ward where she served in many church callings and served as the president of many auxiliaries and later served as an ordinance worker in the Albuquerque LDS Temple. Alison is survived by her daughter, Lindsay Jones of Albuquerque; son, Matthew Allen Jones and wife Yvette of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Pierce and Ella Jones; sister, Lorelei Romney (Bryan) of Murray, UT; brother, Joseph Crompton, IV (Rose) of Superior, CO and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, G. Allen Jones, Jr.; her parents; and an infant son, Scott Crompton Jones. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS San Victorio Chapel, 11750 San Victorio Ave., Albuquerque. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at the church before the service. Burial will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro Dr. NE, Albuquerque.
