Alice Judy (Anderson) Moss

Alice Judy Moss, 68, beloved daughter, sister, mother and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on May 28, 2022, at the Bear Canyon Nursing Home in Albuquerque. Alice entered this world on April 8, 1954 in Rehoboth, NM, born to Jimmie and Alice Begay.

In high school she was a baton twirler and a member of her local Mustang car club. She graduated from Highland High school in Albuquerque and soon after married her husband, John Moss on November 8, 1975. Alice was a military wife, her husband, John proudly served in the United States Air Force. She traveled to Europe and across the United states making friends wherever she went.

After her husbands passing she returned to Albuquerque and begin working in the public school system teaching children Native American studies through the title 7 program. She also worked at the Albuquerque Indian Center helping her community. Her greatest joy was working as the assistant director of the Native American Indian Village at Expo New Mexico. She enjoyed looking for new talent to showcase and promote.

Alice loved creating with her hands. She sewed her own clothes with her mother as well as sewing dresses for her daughters when they were younger. In her later years she was rarely seen without a crochet hook and a skein of yarn. She was always looking for a new project to try and when finished she would gift her creations to those around her.

Her husband, her father, her son and a granddaughter preceded her in death.

She is survived by her mother Alice Begay; grandson John Brennan Moss; daughter Angel Moss; grandson Jason Moss; granddaughter Alicen Moss-Childs; daughter Athena Moss; grandson Dartayvius Moss-Mariano; granddaughter Ashleya-Rose Moss; grandson Eddie SpottedBear Jr; grandson Ethan SpottedBear; granddaughter Evaleah SpottedBear; granddaughter Tahnibah Sanchez; twin great-granddaughters, Liliana and Marbella.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 11:00 at FRENCH - Wyoming
