She was born in 1928 in Monette, AR. and graduated from high school in Bono, AR. She attended Arkansas State College in Jonesboro before teaching math in Caraway, AR. Several of her students were older than her. She met J.C. in Caraway and they were married in December of 1947 and their daughter, Mylli, was born in October 1948. J.C. and Alice moved to Albuquerque in 1950 and she started the Lenders Exchange for the Credit Bureau. Alice went to work at Van Waters and Rogers in the 60's as a purchasing agent, retiring in the 80's. She was a member of the Purchasing Association. Alice volunteered at Sombra del Monte Elementary School and was a long time member of the Church of Christ. In her retirement, Alice worked at FRENCH Funerals & Cremations as a funeral associate. She was well known for her cooking, especially her famous biscuits and her banana nut bread. No potluck would be complete without her banana pudding. Alice also loved gardening, fishing, sewing, reading, and didn't want to admit it but also loved shopping, especially for a good bargain. If a coupon was available for a discount she clipped it.
