88 ½ years young, passed away on Sunday, March 16th, 2014 with her daughter by her side. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Benninghoff; son in law, Robert and grandchild, Jamie of Albuquerque. Mrs. Goff is also survived by her sister in law, Patricia Beaton; niece, Nicola Straw and husband James and their four children; nephew, Gary Beaton all of Great Britain and numerous relatives in Vienna, Austria. Mrs. Goff was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie in 2007; son, James in 1978, and her brother, Ernest in 1986. Mrs. Goff was born in Vienna, Austria and spent her teenage years in England. After WWII, she moved to West Germany where she met and married Charlie, an American civilian who had served in the US Army during the war. After their marriage in 1949, they moved to England where Charlie worked for the Department of Defense. Charlie's job took them to England, France and back to Germany. The family moved to Albuquerque in 1986. Being a firm believer in philanthropic work, Mrs. Goff was an active member of Assistance League of Albuquerque. She was an avid bridge player and attained the rank of bronze life master. A Memorial Celebration of her Life will be held this Saturday, March 22, 2014, 3:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, the 25th of March at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to: Assistance League of Albuquerque, Amnesty International, Doctors without Borders and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
