Alfred Romero Sr

Alfred Romero went to be with our Lord and Savior on April 16, 2015. Al left behind his loving wife and soulmate, Maggie, of 48 years. He is survived by his two sons, Alfred, Jr. and wife Carolyn, and Dominic. He had many grandchildren who loved their Papa dearly: Johnny Romero and wife Naomi, Brianna and fiancAC. Jonathan, Alyssa, Matthew, Julian and Angelica. He also leaves Michael, Nick, Isaac and R.J., to whom he was considered Papa as well. Al also had six great-grandchildren, who he adored: Joseph, Lilly Grace, Lenaya, AnaLeah, Asia and Karissa. He is also survived by his brothers, Edward, Phillip and Ralph Montoya and wife Helen, and his sisters, Elizabeth Montoya and Barbara Lucero and husband Sam. He is preceded in death by his brother, Danny Gomez. Al was a great guitar player and musician and was loved by so many. He knew no strangers. He always had a smile and kind words for everybody. He retired as a network manager from the City of Albuquerque in 1996. Al enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a great provider, husband, father, Papa and friend. He will be missed dearly. The Romero family would like to thank all relatives and friends for their love and support. Al's Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Westside.
