Alexandrina DeVargas

Alexandrina DeVargas, 88, went home to be with our Lord on Friday, March 13, 2015. Alexandrina was surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Abel DeVargas, Sr.; six children, Abel DeVargas, Jr. (Olivia), Nancy Martinez (Norris), Toby DeVargas (Dorothy), Bobby DeVargas (Maria Sedillo), Randy DeVargas (Vivian), and Raymond DeVargas (Christine); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by numerous relatives, friends and all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pantalion and Brigida Martinez; three sons, Samuelito, Freddie and Urban DeVargas; three grandsons, Freddie DeVargas, Jr., Arthur "Tonk" Duran and Isaiah Apodaca; granddaughter, Baby Gina, four sisters, and one brother. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. Friends and family may attend a Visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., prior to the service. A Graveside Interment will be held Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Abilito DeVargas, Andrew DeVargas, Bobby DeVargas, Jr., Jessie Martinez, Joshua Luna, Randy DeVargas, Jr., Toby DeVargas, Jr. and Tony DeVargas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Amanda DeVargas, Angel DeVargas, Annette Apodaca, Barbara DeVargas, Bernadette DeVargas, Priscilla DeVargas and Tanya DeVargas.
