Aletha Spreacker

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16. Aletha joyfully returned to her Lord and Savior on November 24, 2012. Aletha Merle Wright Spreacker was born on May 23, 1917, in Wapello, Iowa, to Frank and Grace Torbert Wright. She married Kyle Austin Spreacker on February 14, 1942, in Mediapolis, Iowa. She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her sister, Ethel Eland. She is survived by her four sons, Gary, Craig, Michael, and Marlin. She is also survived by her brother, Gilman Wright; eight grandchildren, Tate Spreacker, Katie Smith, Shelly Collins, Heidi Spreacker, Zack Spreacker, Loraine Spreacker, Angela Spreacker, and Shaun Spreacker; and seven great-grandchildren, Ally Collins, Teagin Spreacker, Audrey Smith, Tyler Collins, Lauren Smith, Milo Spreacker and Alissa Spreacker. Aletha was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who strived always to serve God in every aspect of her life. She was an interior designer for Whitey's Wallpaper and Paint Center for several years. When her sons were in school, she served as their Cub Scout Den Mother. She sang in numerous church choirs and participated in and led many Bible study groups and Sunday school classes. For many years, she was a member of the Young at Heart Choir, which is a traveling music ministry group. She was a soprano soloist and faithfully dedicated her wonderful musical talent to the glory of God. Cremation has taken place and memorial services for Aletha Spreacker will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Hoffmantown Church, 8888 Harper Dr. NE Albuquerque, NM 87111. The family would like to thank Arlene Miller, Alliance Home Health Care, Presbyterian Hospice, and the Beehive Home for their kind and loving care of Aletha. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
