Alegra R. Steffy

Alegra R. Steffy, 95, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on April 6, 2015. She was born in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Fred and Annie Kilhefner. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Harry Steffy; her daughter, Linda Hanson, five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her brother, Ray Kilhefner, of Ephrata; her sister, Betty Zimmerman of Spring City, Pennsylvania; her son, Larry Steffy, of Albuquerque; her daughter, Janet Delgado of Alamogordo, NM; six grandsons, two granddaughters, 20 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren. Alegra was a devoted wife and mother. She was an amazing caregiver to her husband during his lengthy illness. In the 50s and 60s, she worked in retail for J.C. Penny's. Alegra lived in Ephrata, Indianapolis, Clearwater, Fla., and moved to Albuquerque in 1957. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Westside.
