ALBERT S. PRIETOAge 62, a resident of Albuquerque since 1967, died Thursday, June 14, 2012. He is survived by his father, Manuel; daughter, Adrianna; his siblings, Ben Prieto and wife, Carmen, Ruben Prieto and wife, Frances, Manuel Prieto, Jr. and wife, Mary Ann, and Mary Ann Garcia; and many other family and friends. Mr. Prieto was preceded in death by his mother, Natividad; brother, Joe; and grandmother, Hilaria Salcido. He was baptized and raised in the Catholic Church. Albert was a graduate of Highland High School and Eastern New Mexico University. He was an active athlete playing and watching sports, including baseball, basketball and many others, especially billiards and won the championship at ENMU. He served our country honorably in the US Navy, stationed in Vietnam and other locations during the War. Albert worked for the New Mexico Dept. of Labor retiring after 25 years of service. A Rosary will be recited, Monday, June 18, 2012, 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Place NE (Lomas at Tennessee), with a Mass being celebrated following at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marcus Prieto, Armando Prieto, Ruben John Prieto, Andrew Madrid, Max Otero, Fernando Nava and Robert Purcella. Friends may visit French - Lomas Chapel, Saturday, June 16, 2012, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
