Albert (Al) Ciarlotta, born August 28, 1944 in Manhattan, New York, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2024. Al was the owner of Discount TV & Repair in Albuquerque since 1966 until he retired in 2016. Al and his wife retired to their lake house in Conchas Dam, NM in 2017. Al loved to fish and to be out in his boat with his family and friends. He loved pulling the kids around on water toys. Al was a member of the American Legion Post 19 at Conchas Dam where he met some of the most friendly and kind people.
Al is survived by his wife Kathleen, his children Lee (Cindy) of Glendale Arizona; Aaron (Sanya) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Cassandra French (Sebastian) of Albuquerque; Heather Garcia (Augie) and Louise Ciarlotta (Alan) of Albuquerque. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves nieces, nephews and cousins. Also touching Al's life were Chuck Nelson, Tom and Gayle McGuiness, and Russ and Kelly Yurcisin. Also touching Al's life is Kathleen's sister Nora and her husband Danny for being there for Al when he was residing at Conchas Dam. Special thanks to Al's hospice nurse Claire Soucy who cared for Al the past eight months, CNA Jose Martinez and to all the volunteers who treated Al with dignity, compassion, and respect. Al was preceded in death by his parents Al and Theresa Ciarlotta and his brother Robert.
A memorial service will be held at French's Mortuary on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 2 pm with a reception following at Kathleen's home. Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Hospice, 8100 Constitution Pl NE, Suite 400, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
