Dale Danielson was born December 21, 1929 in Basin, Wyoming. He and his parents moved to Albuquerque when he was 9-months-old. He graduated from Albuquerque High School and Eastern New Mexico State University. After serving in the Air Force, he attended Golden Gate Seminary in California. During the 1970s and 1980s, he served as a volunteer Christian lobbyist in Santa Fe during legislative sessions. He knew elected officers from around the state. He was a friend of Governor Bruce King, who valued Dale's Christian perspective on policies and bills. He faithfully attended First Baptist Church (FBC), Albuquerque, NM for 85 years. He taught fifth-grade Sunday School for 25 years, served as a deacon, played the piano and sang in the choir. Additionally, he served as church clerk for several years. He started a Baptist Historical library in his home. The library is now located at the Baptist Convention of New Mexico (BCNM). He served on the executive committee of the BCNM. He was a Christian businessman in Albuquerque for many years. He and his wife, Betty, had been married for 50 years. They are the proud parents of Nancy Adkins and spouse Tyler Adkins and Alan Danielson, Jr. and spouse Stacey Taylor Danielson. They have eight grandchildren: Chris, Stephen, Sarah, Ben, Melody, Taylor, Landry and Hayden. A Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Albuquerque's First Baptist Church, 4101 Paseo Del Norte NW. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, March 16, 2015 at 2:15 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Six grandsons will serve as pallbearers, along with Ed Purdue and Jerry Francis. The Deacons of FBC will serve as honorary pallbearers. Dale's son, Alan Danielson, and Pastor Michael Cook of FBC will officiate.
