Ageda Korte

Ageda Korte ("Nonnie", "Nonni"), 93 a resident of Albuquerque, NM who was born and raised in Las Vegas, NM. Ageda entered the gates of Heaven to be with our Lord and all the heavenly angels on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Ageda is preceded by her husband of 60 years Paul Korte.

She is survived by her children: son's Ruben Korte, Leo Korte, and daughter Fay Korte and grandchildren: Jay Forse, John Paul Korte, Richard Korte, Milena Chavez, Jacob Silva and Candice Korte and 7 great grandchildren.

Ageda, a working mother and military wife who retired from the Bernalillo County Detention Center after 22 years of service. Ageda loved working as a matron with the juvenile kids at the D home. She loved cooking and making tamales, Bizcochitos, and meat empanadas for her family and friends and always found a reason to host and take care of her company.

Ageda's Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

Visitation at 9:00 a.m. at St. Edwin's Catholic Church with mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. 2105 Barcelona Rd. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105

Reception of Celebration of life from 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. at D.H. Lescombes Winery & Bistro, 901 Rio Grande Blvd NW B-100, Albuquerque, NM 87104

Ageda will be laid to rest with her husband on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, 12:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
