Adenago Brito Perea

December 22, 1920 - June 20, 2015 Adenago B. Perea, fondly known as Nago, age 94, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2015. Long time resident of Valencia, New Mexico, Nago proudly served as a rifleman in frontline duty for the 45th division of the U.S. Army during WWII. He took part in intense fighting during the invasion of Sicily, attack on Salerno, Anzio, and Monte Cassino. After the fall of Rome, he participated in the invasion of southern France, capturing cities throughout the Rhineland and central Europe. Nago's infantry company took part in the liberation of 32,000 prisoners in the Dachau concentration camps, ending with the capture of Munich. Nago retired from Sandia National Laboratories and was a wonderful father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be greatly missed. Nago is preceded in death by his parents Manuel & Aurora Perea; brother Jesus Perea; and sisters Rosa Candelaria and Angelica Otero. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Onesima Perea; sons Felix Perea and wife Terri, Norman Perea, and Daniel Perea and wife Tonya; daughters Elizabeth Carr and husband Victor, Nancy Simma and husband Randy, and Pearl Perea; sisters Candelaria Baca, Senaida Baca, Leandra Aragon and husband Dan, and Perscilla Peralta; grandchildren Ursula Baird and husband Eddy, Raymond Perea and wife Paula, Bridget Perea, Michelle Perea, Monica Meyring and husband Brady, Keith Pfahler and wife Amanda, Lisa Stephens and husband Terence, Tim Simma and wife Sara, Randi Simma, Stephanie Perea, and Lorenzo Perea; and great grandchildren Noah Meyring, Grant Meyring, Rhys Stephens, Tatym Pfahler, Sierra Pfahler, and Lucas Simma. Nago's Celebration of Life will begin with a Visitation on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. at French Mortuary on Lomas Blvd in Albuquerque, New Mexico, followed by a Service at 10:00 a.m. and a Reception at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Sedillos Cemetery located on North El Cerro Loop at Winchester Road, Los Lunas, New Mexico at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Keith Pfahler, Brady Meyring, Stephanie Perea, Lorenzo Perea, Randy Simma, and Alejandro Hernandez.
