Adelaido M. Martinez

Adelaido passed away on 27 September 2015 at the age of 84. He was born in Vallecitos, NM to Rosabel and Antonio Martinez. Adelaido served 27 years in the United States Air Force. He served during both the Vietnam and Korean Wars. He was a longtime member of the University Heights United Methodist Church and was a very active volunteer in the community.
Adelaido was preceded in death by his parents, Rosabel and Antonio Martinez, Sr.; brothers, Antonio Martinez, Jr. , Alcadio Martinez and Alfredo Martinez; sisters, Rosenda Griego and Adelaida Martinez.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Alice; and his children, Melani Tutt (Tom), Michael Martinez (Analisa), Marvin Addie Martinez (Beverly); and his sister, Manuelita Martinez. Adelaido is also survived by his very special grandchildren, Myranda Sadler (Patrick), David Tutt (Kayla), Steven Martinez, Nathaniel Martinez and Natasha Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to University Heights United Methodist Church or Chapter 26 of Disabled American Veterans.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, 4 October 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at FRENCH -University. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, 8 October 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 201 University Blvd. NE, with inurnment at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho.
