On Saturday, March 27, 2021 Adela "Rosella" Montoya was called to her final resting place. She was born to Sofio and Eutimia Montoya on Friday, October 27, 1939 in San Pedro, NM. After graduation from Albuquerque High School, she attended the Hollywood School of Beauty. Her career as a hairdresser lasted well over 50 years. She was an active parishioner of the Scared Heart Parish in Albuquerque where she volunteered in the parish gift shop, instructed the religious educational class, distributed the Holy Eucharist to the homebound, and enjoyed volunteering for the annual fiestas.
She is survived by brothers, Michael and wife, Roberta, Pete and fiancé, Eva; nephew Michael Jr.; nieces, Claudia, and Denise; as well as many other relatives and friends.
We will forever be grateful to the three ladies who took special care of our sister, Rose Mary Chavez, Cassie Gale, and Tanya Lucero. Till the very end these compassionate neighbors were her "Guardian Angles". We are truly indebted to the three of them.
Services will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Stover SW. Rosary will be recited at nine o'clock a.m. with the Mass beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The Pallbearers are Michael Montoya Jr., Joshua Mora, Michael Montoya III, and Mathew Montoya.
