Abel Sedillo

Was born in Albuquerque, NM on April 4, 1943 to Abel Sedillo and Sally Martinez Sedillo. He is survived by his wife of 37 years Dina Apodaca Sedillo; his son, Abel James Sedillo; daughter, Anita Sedillo; grandchildren, Alejandro Sedillo, Joaquin Sedillo and great grandson, Aaron Sedillo; brothers, Michael Sedillo, Andy Sedillo, Luis Sedillo and wife, Grace; sisters, Merlinda Sedillo Welch, Angie Ella Sedillo Romero and husband, Jim; sister-in-law, Delia Ortiz and husband, Alfonso; brother-in-laws, Luciano Apodaca, Jimmy Apodaca and wife, Berna and numerous nieces and nephews. Abel was a veteran of the US Navy and traveled the world. His favorite places were Japan and the Philippines. He retired from Yellow Freight where he worked for 20 years. He had a great love for his family. He loved fishing, hunting, playing golf, camping, the mountains and a true love for animals of all kinds. He had a great love for all of those things but because of a long illness, he was no longer able to do all of those things that he loved so much. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abel Sedillo and Sally Martinez Sedillo and his son, Stephen Sedillo. Pallbearers will be Michael Sedillo, Andy Sedillo, Luis Sedillo, Steve, Robert and Tom Ortiz. A Rosary will be recited Sunday, May 4, 2014, 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Friends may visit beginning at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be Monday, May 5, 2014, 8:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
