Vivian Martinez

Vivian Martinez, age 87, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went to be with Lord on Sunday, May 23, 2021, surrounded by her Loving family. Vivian was born on March 25, 1934, to Policarpio and Filomena Armijo in the town of Ojo Del Padre, New Mexico. Vivian was the eldest of three children. Vivian went to school in Cuba, New Mexico and graduated in 1954. Vivian married the love of her life, Estanislado (Tannie) Martinez on May 21st, 1956.

Vivian loved her family and dedicated her life to them; she was strong in her faith and prayed the Rosary every day. She was a parishioner at Holy Family Church for over 50 years where many of her children and grandchildren were baptized and married. Vivian loved to cook and make fresh tortillas, she enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting, and playing with her puppies, and going to the Casino, but what she loved the most was spending time with her family.

Vivian is survived by her children: Casey and his wife, Donna (Vigil), Steve, Donna and her husband, John (Turrietta), Virginia, Frank, and his wife, Geralene (Zamora), 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Felice Baldonado. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Tannie; son, Robert; son-in-law, Gilbert Ortega; grandson, Anthony Turrietta; and brother, Victor Jaramillo.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Westside.
Mass will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco Drive SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery.

Pallbearers are her grandsons and great-grandsons: Casey Jr., Paul, Paul Jr, Josiah, Noah, and Eli.
Honorary Pallbearers: Joseph, Mario Jr, Roman, Joey, Liam, and William.
