Vincent A. "Vince" Jordon

Vincent A. Jordon passed away unexpectedly at the age of 76 on October 4, 2016.
He was born March 18, 1940 in Youngstown, OH, son of the late Ralph and Teresa Jordon (Cassese). He leaves behind his beloved wife, Andrea Jordon (Bailik), after 51 years of marriage; his son, Vincent Jr. (Naomi); daughters, Christina Feist (Patrick) and Danielle Jordon (Brad); grandchildren, Sabrina (Brian), Andi-Marie, Vincenzo, Stephanie, Samantha, Elizabeth and Lorna; and great-grandchildren, Connor, Gabriel and Maddox. He also leaves behind his last surviving sibling, Ralph Jordon of Austintown, OH; and many nieces and nephews.
A first generation Italian, he was the youngest of eight and grew up in Youngstown, OH. Vince served in the United States Army in the early 1960's. He married his wife, Andrea in April of 1965 and later moved his family to Albuquerque, NM in 1979.
He retired from General Electric in 1999 after 20 years of service. However, his true passion was music. He was a self-taught drummer from the age of fourteen when he received his first set of drums from a family friend. For the next sixty-two years he played with countless friends, organizations and local musicians he met along the way.
He was a member of American Legion Post 49 and served with the National Honor Guard for ten years.
Vince was proud of his Italian heritage and large Italian family. He loved to share these traditions through stories and cooking authentic homemade recipes for whomever was fortunate to cross his path.
He loved his dogs, Herbie, Leo, and Tommy and never left home without them.
Everyone who has had the privilege to meet Vince will forever keep him in their hearts and memories with a story of a time they shared together. His presence will be greatly missed.
Services will be held Monday, October 10, 2016, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. Friends may visit beginning at 12:00 p.m.
