Victor Frank Silva

July 27, 1945 — July 20, 2019

Victor, devoted husband and father known to family and friends as “Frankie,” passed away on July 20, 2019, at the age of 73. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Flora; daughter Lynette; son-in-law Ian; brothers, Ray and Pat and several nieces and nephews. Vic was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Susie and two brothers, Richard and Jimmy.

Vic served in the USAF and received his Business Administration degree from UNM. He retired from PNM after more than 30 years of service. Throughout his career he was an active member of the community serving on various committees representing diverse organizations.

He served as President, Secretary and Treasurer for the NM Personnel Association; VP Board of Directors, Career Services for the Handicapped; Advisory Board, Adelante; Training & Economic Development Committees, Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce; Board of Directors Greater Albuquerque Volunteer Association; Board of Directors & Employees Relation Chair, Chaparral Girl Scouts Council and PNM’s 1986 United Way Campaign loaned executive collecting 101% of its goal and ranked 8th of 18 executives. Vic’s passion was music; he loved to sing, and he acted in several community theatre productions.

A Celebration of Vic’s, life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2019, at FRENCH-University Reception Center.
