Vici Lynn Shoemaker

Vici Lynn Shoemaker, age 62, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 31, 2016. Vici was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 16, 1954. She is survived by her husband, Tom; daughter, Rebecca and son-in-law, Thomas; son, Matthew and daughter-in-law, Jenny; five grandchildren, Addy, Bailey, Milly, Cassia, and Hayes; brothers, Rick and sister-in-law, Margie, and Mick and sister-in-law, Lisa. Vici graduated from Sandia High School and the University of New Mexico with a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. She touched the lives of many students during her 31 years of teaching. She was a loving, devoted, gentle, and caring wife, mother, nana, and friend. Her love for the Lord and for others was so evident in the way she lived. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. at Mountainside Church of Christ, 12300 Indian School Rd. NE. A meal reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, Vici wanted donations made to Ponderosa Christian Camp, 12300 Indian School Rd. NE., Albuquerque, NM 87112.
