Our beloved mother and grandmother, departed our earthly presence on Sunday, August 4, 2019 to answer our Lord Father’s heavenly call.
Sheryl was born on Tuesday, September 14, 1954 in Anadarko. Oklahoma, a Native American of Wichita, Caddo and Delaware descent also of Oklahoma. As her parents were employed with the federal government, her family moved throughout the US but always returned to Albuquerque. She is survived by her son, Edward R. Brewer IV and his wife Rhonda Brewer and their sons, Jaiden and Anfernee Brewer; her boyfriend (deceased), Benjamin Caswell, his father, Robert Caswell and his son, James Caswell; her sister, Laurie Gabbard Coats from Ganado, AZ, husband, Coy Coats, her daughter, Rachel Mireles Kuykendall, husband Jay and their daughters, Mikayla and Addison; her brother, James Gabbard Jr. (deceased), his wife, Marveline Vallo Gabbard; daughter, Brittany Vallo and granddaughter, Vanessa Vallo. Sheryl is preceded in death by her father, James Sr. and mother, Myrtle Irene; paternal grandparents, Ike and Flora Gabbard and their daughters, Margaret and Grace; and maternal grandparents, John and Jane Thomas and their son, Earl and daughters, Jacqueline and Alene. Sheryl worked with the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Sheryl had interests including bowling, golfing and traveling.
Friends may visit one hour prior to a Rosary recited Thursday, August 8, 2019, 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Lomas. Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 9, 2019, 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Road NE with burial to follow at Sandia Memory Gardens Cemetery.
