Sergeant Jeffrey W. Moser of Santa Fe, NM lost his life April 23, 2016 after a long struggle with an illness. He was born in Woodward, OK July 21, 1972; lived his elementary years in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia; moved to Albuquerque, NM with his family where he completed middle school, high school, and graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BS in Computer Science. He worked as a software developer before joining the New Mexico Army National Guard Co B 1st BN 200th Infantry. He served in active duty at White Sands Missile Range; Task Force Cobra as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom in Kuwait and Iraq; and was honorably discharged July 22, 2008. He returned to civilian life and his career in software development.
Jeffrey is survived by his father, John C. Moser Jr.; sister, Aida Looney (husband Brad Looney); brother, John C. Moser III (wife Martha Moser) of Albuquerque, NM; and sister, Juliette Akers (husband Stuart Akers) of Buda, TX. He was an uncle to eight nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Claire D. Moser. A loved son, brother, uncle and devoted soldier will be sorely missed while we remain on this side of Christ's Kingdom.
Services will be held Friday, May 6, 2016, 10:00 a.m., at Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3900 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
