Samuel Brigante

Samuel J. Brigante "Sal", age 93, loving father and husband went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 13th, 2016. He is survived in life by his wife of 69 years, Virginia; his children, David Brigante, Steven and Melanie Brigante, Richard and Michelle Brigante; and his grandchildren, Kimberly Phillips, Anthony Brigante, Delilah and Paul Moore, Miles and Carlo Brigante. He is also survived by his sister, Jeanie McGinley. He also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vincenzo and Michelina Brigante; his siblings, Mike and Mary Brigante, Charlie and Stella Brigante, Laura and Lefty Fiero, Josie and Jim Granada, Joseph and Dee Brigante, and Mary Brigante. Sal enlisted in the Army in 1939 and served in the Army Air Corp in WWII and Korea. After his long service to our country, he retired from the Air Force in 1963. He continued working for the Civil Service as a Job Corp Counselor and then a Photographer at Kirkland Air Force Base until 1979. He was a long time member and officer of the Italian Club (Cultural). A Visitation will take place on Friday, August 19, 2016, 11:00 a.m. with a Rosary to follow at 12:00 p.m. noon. Interment will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Sal's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
