Rosa Anaya

Rosa Anaya, age 91, beloved mother, was called to her eternal resting place on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. She entered this world on May 12, 1929, in Dalahart, TX. She was raised in Nara Visa, NM, born to Joe and Senaida Garcia. In 1945, she married Joe Anaya and together, they raised six children during their 62 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; daughter, JoAnn; and son, Johnnie. She is survived by her son, Jerry Anaya; daughter-in-law, Lidia Anaya; daughter, Jennifer Serrano; son-in-law, Ron Serrano; son, Jimmy Anaya; son, Jacob Anaya; daughter-in-law, Amy Anaya; goddaughter, Joel Barra; grandchildren, Jerome Anaya, Leslie Ann, Steven and Julie Ramirez, Anthony Anaya, Lisa, and Joe Anaya; great- grandchildren, Ethan, Noah, Kyle, Ava, Paul, Dylan, Dorian and Mia; and sister, Virginia Anaya. Mom's priority was always her family she loved to cook and bake for her family but would never share her recipes outside the family. She was a strong woman and endured many trials in her life with love and prayers. The rosary was never far from her hands. She was the rock of the family. Mom is now free and at peace.
