Robin Zoe McCarroll

Robin Zoe (Cantor) McCarroll passed away on October 22, 2021 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

Robin spent her early years growing up in Attleboro, MA. Surrounded by a loving extended family, she proved to be a loyal friend and a spirit ready for adventure.  Robin moved to Colorado, where she earned a degree in early childhood education. She loved her work with young children; it was here where her kindness, sensitivity, and humor blossomed and benefited those with whom she worked. In Steamboat Springs, CO, she married John Robert (Bob) McCarroll and had a daughter, Shayna, the pride of her life.

Robin returned east to settle in Underhill, VT where she continued her work in education and raised her daughter. She loved Vermont; its seasons, its people, and its respect for the environment. She cherished the friends she made wherever she lived. Robin had a strong passion for the welfare of animals. Keenly aware of their suffering, she did more than just talk; over the years, she rescued several dogs and cats, enriching her life and theirs with all her heart could give.

During the final four years of her life, Robin lived in Albuquerque, NM; she wanted to be part of the lives of her two grandsons, Colt and Cash. Robin loved them passionately, and they will carry her sense of compassion and her humor into the future.  Robin leaves behind a beautiful family: her daughter, Shayna and husband Bret Klassen; two grandsons, Colt and Cash; her sister, Terry Cantor and husband, Jake Pendleton; her brother, Howard Cantor; nieces and nephews, Leslie Gladstone and husband, Carl; Todd Cantor and wife, Mary Claire; Samuel Pendleton and wife, Vanessa Geldart; great nieces Molly Gladstone, Ella Cantor, Abby Cantor.
