Robert Lorenzo Villarreal

July 19, 1946 — September 25, 2022

Robert L. "Bob" Villarreal, 76, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and Vietnam Veteran (U.S.M.C.) went to greet his wife, Dannette Elizabeth, in Heaven on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Bob and Dannette were married in the summer of 1969 and were only separated by her passing in 2018. Bob is lovingly remembered by his children, Scott, Martin, and Danimarie; along with grandsons, Robert, Nicholas, Maximus, and Tyler.

Bob was born in El Paso, TX, to Rosa and Lorenzo Villarreal, but grew up in Los Angeles, CA. He was the oldest of six siblings, Stella McIntosh (Villarreal), Louis Villarreal, Tommy Martinez, Ralph Martinez, and Rosalinda Martinez.

Special loved ones and family members also include Josephine Moreno, Lori Ramos, and Mary Ann Garcia-Word.

A proud Marine, Bob served two tours in Vietnam (1965-1967). Semper fi!

Bob loved football, old movies, and his yorkie, Tulip.

A Rosary and Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Road NW. Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m.; Mass will directly follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will be held immediately after at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

There will be a reception at the home of Mary Ann Garcia-Word and Terry Word, following the services.
