Robert Terrence Strehle, 69, passed from our lives unexpectedly on Sunday, October 16, 2016. Terry was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 5, 1947. He was the only child of Joseph and Annabel Strehle, who preceded him in death.
Terry is survived by his daughters, April Shortle and husband Jimson, Cheryl Byrd and husband Larry, and Roxanne Swift. He is also survived by his grandson, Kyle Zirnheld, and granddaughter, Lillian Shortle, who was definitely the apple of his eye. Additionally, Terry is survived by his partner and best friend of 16 years, Leanne Gideon, who will sorely miss his love and companionship.
Terry worked most of his adult life in the accounting field. He enjoyed watching football games and news, history and mystery shows on TV. He had a great love of books and dearly enjoyed reading. He also enjoyed traveling, and he and Leanne were able to travel to Boston, New Orleans, Washington D.C., the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Los Angeles and Disney World in Florida, as well as many sites around New Mexico.
Terry chose to be cremated, and a Memorial Service will be held for him Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
