Robert Lee Piper

Robert Lee Piper, age 59, died of cancer on November 4th, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Valerie, and their two daughters; Synneva, (Shane-fiancé) and Miranda Piper. He is also survived by his father and step-mother; William and Phyllis Piper; his siblings Billy Glen Seago (Vicky, Belinda Harwood (Jimmy)), Elizabeth Perlman, Billie Renee Groot (Richard); 11 nieces and nephews; nine great nieces and nephews and many wonderful, close friends. He was also close to his in-laws: Father-in-law and Mother-in-law; Pastor Russell and Helen Lee and sister-in-law Deborah Baxa (Mark). He was preceded in death by his mother; Willie Piper. Robert was born in Whittier, California and moved to Albuquerque with his family when he was an infant. Throughout the years he worked in construction; first with his father, and later with several major construction companies. He cherished his family above all else and he was a devoted husband and father. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also loved to play golf and the guitar. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 7th, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 10000 Spain Rd. NE, where Robert and his family have been members for many years. Memorials may be given to the church in his name.
