Robert Carey Moser, 95, went to be with the Lord January 21, 2017.

He was born February 9, 1921, at home in Portland, Indiana to Rev. Carey R. and Lillian Moser. Bob is survived by his children, Mary Perkins and husband, Howard, Ruth Bidewell and husband, David, Karl Moser and wife, Jan, and Peggy Sanchez and husband, Lou; his grandchildren, Lane Perkins and wife, Patricia, Marixena Perkins, Christine Valdez and husband, Levi, Jonathan Norton, Rebecca and Ana Moser, Lindsay, Loren and Ryan Hallmark, Justin Sanchez and wife, Sophia, Teryn and Kaylin Sanchez. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; his sister, Eleanor Browning; and nieces, Laura, Beth, Cathy, Donna and Jackie. Bob was preceded in death by Alice, his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, and his children, Carey, Nathan and Amy Moser.

Mr. Moser served our country in the United States Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Army Solders Medal for heroism. Bob and Alice moved to Albuquerque in 1951 and he later retired from Mountain Bell Telephone Company. Bob then pursued his passion for professional photography opening Moser Studio with his sweetheart Alice. They were members of Hoffmantown Church for many years where Bob enjoyed singing with the Young at Heart Choir. He had extensive historic and geographical knowledge and love for his adopted state of New Mexico. He became known to some as "Petro Bob" for his interest, study and photography of petroglyphs.

Private services were held Saturday, January 28, 2017 and burial followed at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Bobs' family would like to express a special thank you to the devoted staff at The Woodmark at Uptown for their loving care and also to Hospice de la Luz.
