Robert T. (Bobby) Montoya

Robert T. (Bobby) Montoya, age 82, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021. He was born April 2, 1939, to Valerio and Barbara Montoya. Bobby was known as a storyteller and his love for Cadillacs. He loved to smoke a cigar occasionally.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Veronica (Manuel); sons, Norman (Kathy), Robert Jr., Gerard and Julian. He is survived by 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandsons; his sister, Tomasita Rodriquez 10 nieces and nephews; godson, Stephen Marino and many numerous cousins and friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Valerio and Barbara Montoya; his great-grandfather, Rafael Pena; his sister, Clorinda Gonzales; and his brother, Raymond Montoya.

Pallbearers are his grandchildren, Tiffany Montoya, Mallory Sedillo, Louis Montoya, Joshua, Desirae Sanchez and Samantha Ferrell.

Honorary pallbearers are Veronica and Victoria Griego.

A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. with a Mass to follow at 10:45 a.m., at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd NW Albuquerque, NM, public visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at 2:15 p.m., at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque.
