Robert (Bob) Bernard Bolton, age 74, fought the good fight, kept the faith, said his goodbyes, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 3, 2022, after a courageous battle with aggressive metastatic prostate cancer. He died peacefully surrounded by his family.
Bob was born in Graham, Texas. A graduate of the University of Nebraska Omaha, Bob served in the US Air Force in electronic intelligence during the Vietnam War. After his military service, Bob built his real estate sales practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
As a second career, Bob answered his calling by attending seminary and serving faithfully as a hospital chaplain in Columbus, Ohio.
Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ann (Betzel), brother Kenneth (Margaret), daughter Beth (Jeff) Peterson and son Eric (Carrie), as well as adoring grandchildren Ainsley, Parker, and Zachary.
Studying the word of God and practicing his faith was ever-present in Bob's life as was a fondness for golf, fly-fishing and deer/elk hunting.
While his family mourns his passing, we cherish the knowledge that he is now free from pain and is basking in the Glory of God forever.
A memorial service for Bob will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, Albuquerque, New Mexico, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18th. The service will also be live streamed and archived for those who are not able to attend in person. The service can be found at www.faithabq.org and on YouTube.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation at
