Robert Abeyta

Robert “Bobby” Abeyta age 80 of Albuquerque, New Mexico passed away on February 20, 2021.

He was born on June 26, 1940 to Theodora and Juan Abeyta. Bobby was one of fourteen children and his remaining siblings are, Johnny Abeyta, Ralph Medina, David Abeyta, Rick Abeyta, Carmen Elder, Helen Bollinger and Steve Abeyta. He is preceded in death by his parents Theodora and Juan Abeyta; his beloved stepmother Delia Medina Abeyta, siblings Pat Abeyta, Max Medina, Danny Abeyta, Dolores Stewart, Isabel Abeyta and Jimmy Abeyta. He was also preceded in death by his grandson Ryan Abeyta and numerous nieces and nephews.

He married Marcela Martinez on June 24, 1961, and they would have celebrated their 60th anniversary together this year.

He is survived by his wife and three sons, Robert Abeyta Jr, Raymond Abeyta and Lawrence Abeyta. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Anthony Abeyta, Matthew Abeyta, Rachel Abeyta, Jonathon Abeyta, Alexis Abeyta Ward, Jessie Abeyta Frazer and Thomas Abeyta, as well as his great-grandchildren: Anthony Abeyta Jr, Tomás Abeyta and Izaiah Abeyta.

He worked for 42 years with General Office Supply and 7 years with Walmart. His hobbies included golfing, camping, fishing, hunting, bowling, reading and spending time with family & friends. He will be remembered as a loving, gentle, humble, and faithful man.
