Age 79, dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017.
She was a woman of tremendous strength and courage and had an incredible will to live. Rita was well known for her joke telling, always striving to bring happiness and laughter to those around her. She was proud to have several of her poems published and she loved playing cards with her family and friends whenever possible.
Rita is survived by her children, James A. Deimling (Yolanda); and Jill A. Cates (Clinton); and her grandchildren, Jamie, Jeffrey and Jacquelyn Deimling, and Jesse Cates. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Luck (Cathy) of Cincinnati, OH; and sisters, Patricia Braunwart and Mary Jo Hopewell of Cincinnati, OH. Rita leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews and wonderful friends as well. Also touching Rita's life were the staff and caretakers at the Beehive Village. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Clem and Edith Luck; brothers, Thomas and David Luck; husband and caretaker for many years, Ralph G. Deimling; and son, Jeffery A. Deimling.
A Visitation will be held Monday, February 6, 2017, 5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas with Rosary following at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, February 7, 2017, 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road, Albuquerque, NM 87112. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Albuquerque. Memorial contributions may be made to the Albuquerque Stroke Club, PO Box 3653, Albuquerque, NM 87190.
