Rebecca "Becky" M. (Anaya) Lucero

Age 77, loving, devoted and precious mother, passed away December 16, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was known for her kind, gracious spirit. She frequently opened her home and heart to family and friends. Our beloved Mother’s angelic spirit and beauty radiated from within and touched all who were fortunate to come in contact with her. Her gifts of warmth, generosity and love will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents, Soledad and Loren Anaya Sr., baby sisters, Loretta and Henrietta, brothers, Leo and Loren Jr. and great-grandson, Joaquin Watje.

She is survived by her children; Daniel (Judy), Donna, Wanda (Jim) and Matthew Lucero; grandchildren, Monique Martinez, Racquel (Norm) Michel, Andrea (Phillip) Watje, Ivana Lucero, Esther Lucero, Soledad, Xavier and Ana-Alycia (Morgan) Quintana, Joshua, Deanna and Diedra Lucero; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Steven Martinez, Sophia Michel, Michaela, Rafael, Gabrielle and Andrew Watje, Zaria Montoya, Cora and Kinzley Cunnyngham and Valentina Lucero. She was loved and cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, former in laws, friends and neighbors. Honorary pallbearers are her niece and nephews; Myra Smith, David, Joaquin, and Roberto Anaya, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Rosary will be held on January 5, 2018, 9:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Taos, New Mexico. Interment to follow at a later date. Everyone is invited to join the family at a reception immediately following the services at St. Joseph’s Hall located behind Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
