Peggy Schmidt

Peggy Schmidt, age 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 5, 2018, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Born in Carlsbad, NM, Peggy moved to Los Alamos during the Manhattan Project years before later moving to Albuquerque in 1949. She was very active in life. She volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Home Weatherization Program through PNM. Peggy's lifetime hobbies included cooking, baking, sewing, quilting, and oil painting but her main priority in life was her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Carl Schmidt. She is survived by her children, Daren Schmidt and Kristen Emrick; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Daniel, Emma, and Colin; brothers, Jerry and Jimmy Bradley; and other family and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date at Sunset Memorial Park.
