Monty H. Roach, 72, of Albuquerque, New Mexico went home to heaven on Friday, January 15, 2021.
He is survived by his wife, Debra of Albuquerque; daughters, Kristin, Robyn, and Ambyre all of Albuquerque; son Jeremy of Indiana; sisters, Nancy, Lola, and Patti; brothers, Ronny, Danny and Joe; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ruth Roach; and his first wife, Linda Roach.
Monty was born in 1948 in Dalhart, Texas. As a teenager, he was “born again” at Berean Baptist Church of Albuquerque. He graduated from Dalhart High School of Dalhart, Texas. Over the past 40 years, Monty served in various ministries as an active and dedicated member of Bella Vista Baptist Church. The nursing home ministry held a special place in his heart reflected in more than 25 years of service every Sunday morning, most recently at Las Colinas Village, an Albuquerque retirement home.
He was a friend to pastors. Monty was a respected member of the auto sales industry for over 25 years, where he took pride in developing customer relationships locally and throughout the state. Monty loved to watch old westerns, followed basketball, specifically the Lobos and Golden State, and went for long drives to reminisce about places he lived throughout his years in Albuquerque. He loved to share his stories with his kids and grandkids. To Monty, family was everything.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Bella Vista Baptist Church Missions Program, 2800 Louisiana Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
