Maria Emiliana Rael

Maria Emiliana Rael, 79 of Albuquerque New Mexico and a former resident of Santa Rosa, NM passed away Monday, Monday, April 3, 2023, peacefully in her South Valley home. Maria was born August 29, 1943, in Cuervo New Mexico to the home of Maximiliano and Miquelita Rael.

Maria worked for Furr's Cafeteria for many years, she loved all her customers and coworkers and missed them all after her retirement. Maria loved spending time with her family and friends but especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Maria is preceded in death by her husband, Isabel Quintana; her mother and father, Miquelita and Maximiliano Rael; daughter, Annette Salvato; grandson, Richard Leggiere; sisters, Antonia Urban, Rose Rael, Pat (Augie) Duarante, and Angelina Quintana; brothers, Nicolas (Beatrice) Aragon, Cecilio Rael, and Cecil Rael; and brother-in-law, Chester Bradford. Maria is survived by her children, Maxine Reavis of Albuquerque, Maria Miera of Northglenn CO, Roxann (Sugar) Garcia of Albuquerque, and Emiliano Quintana Rael of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Michael Paiz, Kathy Paiz, Amanda Salazar, Anthony Rivera, Jose Sullivan, Julian Ortiz, and Vicente; many great-grandchildren; sister, Esmeralda Bradford; brother, Carlos (Mary Lou) Perea of Tucumcari New Mexico; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives; and many friends.

Maria and her daughter, Annette's (Nettie) Mass will follow the Rosary which will be held at Santo Nino Catholic Church in Cuervo New Mexico, 9:00 a.m., Friday,  April 21, 2023. Maria will be laid to rest at Cuervo Cemetery where graveside services will be held.
