Marc E. Brule
10-30-1957 to 11-21-2017
Marc E. Brule, who was a loving son, father, brother, and uncle, died unexpectedly on November 21, 2017 at age 60. Words cannot express our sorrow at his passing, and he will be missed every day by all those who loved him and enjoyed his humor, intellect, and talent.
Marc was a long-time Albuquerque resident originally from Rhode Island who enjoyed music, reading, golf, and many other activities. He was an accomplished athlete and guitarist who had only recently begun to perform publicly at various “open-microphone” nights in Albuquerque, covering not only well known classic rock tunes, but also lesser known songs. Some of his favorite tunes to perform were Bowie (Space Oddity), Mellencamp (Pink Houses), ELP (Lucky Man), and The Who (Behind Blue Eyes).
In addition to being passionate about music, Marc was a philosopher who enjoyed discussions about politics, religion, and social justice. He had a strong interest in examining conspiracy theories involving controversial speculations, and would explore both the pros and cons of each of the subjects in question.
He is survived by his daughter Felicia and his son Mark, as well as his mother, Cora, his sisters Frances, Celeste, Claudette, Michele, and Diane, and his brothers Normand and Paul. His father, Roland, preceded him to eternal life. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and the spouses/life partners of each of his siblings.
The family would like to thank those of you who have offered condolences, and appreciates your support during this difficult time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in both New Mexico and Rhode Island. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marc’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to a charity of choice.
