Lucy Hernandez

Lucy Hernandez, 92, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1955, died Tuesday, May 16, 2023. She is survived by her children, Robert and Cecilia Hernandez of Roswell, NM, Johnny and Cathy Hernandez of Albuquerque, NM, and Art and Anna Hernandez of Rio Rancho, NM; grandchildren, Renee and Will Morton of Lubbock, TX, Michelle and Frank Jaure of Carlsbad, NM, Ishmael and Angela Hernandez of Elizabeth, CO, Joel and Anita Hernandez of Farmington, NM, Jeremiah Hernandez of Albuquerque, NM, James Hernandez of Albuquerque, NM , Matthew Garcia of Albuquerque, NM, Nicole Garcia of Albuquerque, NM, Andrew and Irene Hernandez of Albuquerque, NM, and Austin Hernandez of Albuquerque, NM; great-grandchildren, Justin and Krista Hernandez, Aric Saiz, Payton and Cameron Morton, Alejandro Jaure, Esai Jaure, Alijah Hernandez, Aaliyah Hernandez, Mateo Hernandez, Ezrah Hernandez, Charlie Hernandez, Brandon Garcia, and Ashleigh Garcia; and great-great-grandchildren, Lylah Hernandez, Kai Hernandez, Gage Kuykendall, Lucy Castillo, Dahlia Morton, and Lilith Morton. Mrs. Hernandez was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Hernandez.

Lucy was a member of Our Risen Savior Catholic Church. She was born in Capitan, New Mexico Sunday, November 9, 1930. Her husband was a retired Air Force service member.
She was a member of the VFW for 20 years.

A Catholic Rosary will be recited on Tuesday May 23, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming, a Funeral Service will follow. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, June 1, 2023, 2:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
