Loretta Anna Margarita (Siggelkow) Corona

Loretta Anna Margarita Siggelkow Corona was born in Milwaukee, WI on August 31, 1921 to William and Meta Siggelkow. Loretta became a child of God through holy baptism at Holy Ghost Ev. Lutheran Church, Milwaukee. A woman of strong Christian faith, she went to be with her Savior on December 20, 2017 in Albuquerque, NM.

Loretta was the youngest of four children (Walter, William Jr., and Anita) who all preceded her in death. She was united in holy matrimony to Frank T. Corona on March 8, 1941, at Loretta’s home in Milwaukee. They had four children: Frank Jr. (Arlene) of La Crosse, WI, James (Dorothy) Corona of Los Lunas, NM, Arlyn (Al) Ehrler of Albuquerque, Coryn Moser of Albuquerque. Loretta and Frank moved from Muskego (metropolitan Milwaukee) to Albuquerque in 1983. Besides four children, God blessed them with 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. All will miss her, but Loretta will live on forever in their hearts and memories.

Frank and Loretta were happily married for 61 years before God took Frank to heaven in 2002. They enjoyed visiting many family members, relatives, and friends. Card playing took up much of their free time along with bowling and golfing. But now the two are joyfully back together in eternity.

Loretta’s Savior was the center of her life. Thankfully, she shared her faith with those who knew her, especially her children whom she took to church on a regular basis and provided each one with a Christian elementary school education. Therefore, her children are confident they will be reunited with their parents in heaven because their mom taught them to love their Savior.

Loretta can be proud of many accomplishments. She was an active member at her home church, Shepherd Ev. Lutheran in Albuquerque. Her fellow church members found her to be a friend to all, and one that could always be counted on to provide baked goods for various church activities. She enjoyed counted cross-stitch with many of her projects found in her home as well as on the walls and Christmas trees in her families’ homes. Loretta had a special relationship with her pastor, George Swanson, who often went out of his way to get as many baked treats as possible. He in return would at times include her in his weekly sermons, but only in a teasing way.

Our entire family thanks God for our loving mother. We’ll see you some day in heaven.

Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018, 10:00 a.m., at Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3900 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Ennichement will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
