Julia Humphrey, 55, beloved wife and mother, was called to her eternal resting place on February 5, 2018. She entered this world on October 11, 1962 in West Palm Beach, FL as a precious gift to James and Patricia Korn. As a young child, their family moved to Indianapolis, IN where Julia became a beautiful young woman. While in high school, Julia and Steven met each other on a blind date on December 19, 1979 and had their first kiss a few weeks later on New Year’s Eve. Julia and Steve dated the better part of 5 years before becoming one on January 28, 1984. On September 1, 1990, they gave birth to the first child, Broderick T. Humphrey. They knew the moment he was born that he too was a very special gift. Nine years later, they had their second precious child, Elizabeth N. Humphrey on September 22, 1999. On January 28th they both celebrated their 34th anniversary which was one of the best weekends ever in Steve’s life! It was so perfect in every way. Julia is survived by her husband, Steven; son, Broderick; daughter, Elizabeth; brother, James Korn and wife Terri; sister-in-law, Judy McLuen; sister-in-law, Brenda Lewis and husband Howard; sister-in-law, Rhonda Lockhart and husband Carrol and brother-in-law, David Herring along with a plethora of nieces and nephews across the nation. Julia was Steve’s one and only love which will remain this way for eternity. A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
